Eat a variety of foodss
Eat a variety of grains, vegetables and fruits, fish, meat, poultry and dairy products.

Moderate salt intake
Choose less salt-preserved foods and prepare foods with less salt.

If you drink alcoholic beverages, do so in moderation (limit yourself to 1 - 2 drinks a day).
Achieve and maintain a healthy body weight and exercise regularly
Increase physical activity for a healthy weight and balance what you eat with your activity.
Eat clean and safe foods
Keep food safe.
Adequate food and nutrient intake must be consumed during pregnancy and lactation.
Action guide for children: Eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, dairy products, lean meats, fish, eggs & bean products daily; enjoy outdoor activity; eat as per energy needs; start the day with breakfast; choose healthy and nutritious snacks. For adolescents also include: eat moderate amounts of fried foods and / or fast foods; know your healthy weight; choose safe foods: read food and nutrition labels; enjoy a rice-based diet.
Exclusive breast-feeding is recommended from birth to at least 4 - 6 months.
Breast-feed exclusively for the first 6 months of life.
Complementary feeding can be started between 4 - 6 months
