Eat regular meals / Eat breakfast
Have breakfast everyday.
Enjoy eating / Read food labels social part of eating
Read the labels of packaged foods.
Eat moderate amounts of food and sufficient energy and to meet the body's requirements
Consume foods that provide sufficient energy
Consume adequate fluids
Drink adequate quantities of fluids that are free of contaminants.
Eat complex carbohydrates and whole grains
Obtain approximately half of total energy from foods rich in complex carbohydrates.
Moderate fat intake
Obtain not more than a quarter of total energy intake from fats or oils.
Moderate salt intake
Use only iodized salt.
Moderate alcohol consumption
Avoid drinking alcoholic drinks.
Achieve and maintain a healthy body weight and exercise regularly
Perform adequate exercise.
Eat clean and safe foods
Consume foods prepared hygienically.
Exclusive breast-feeding is recommended from birth to at least 4 - 6 months.
Breast-feed your baby exclusively for 4 months.
